How long does it take to get my pictures?back to top
Orders are typically printed and mailed within 24 hours. We ship by First Class and Priority US Mail and orders are usually received in 3-5 business days.
Our print prices start at $0.31 for a 4x6 which unlike our competition includes color analyzing(correcting) by a professional printer. This means unparalleled print quality at an exceptional price.
How are my pictures mailed?back to top
We take extra care to ensure your pictures arrive to you undamaged by using quality packaging with extra cardboard reinforcement. We ship using First Class and Priority US Mail, ensuring timely delivery. Ask about adding pro packaging!
How should I mail in my film?back to top
Are there storage limits?back to top
There are no storage limits. As long as you maintain an active account(at least one order per month) your images remain online for you to view and order from as often as you like.
Is there a money-back guarantee?back to top
We back all orders with a money back guarantee. We're happy when you're happy. If you are unsatisfied with your order for any reason, send us an email within 30 days of receiving your order to denise@picturepreview.com with your order number and the reason you are unsatisfied with your prints. You will be required to return the photos to us in order to receive a refund.

What technology do you use for printing?back to top
We use the latest photographic print technology for printing on traditional photographic paper(silver halide), resulting in long lasting prints that at least match (and usually beat) the quality of traditional prints from film.
How long will my pictures last?back to top
Because we use traditional photographic paper, our prints will last decades with no noticeable fading. Unlike inkjet prints, which are printed on the surface of the paper, our prints are on traditional photographic paper which means not only a longer print life, but also a better richer print.
What paper and finishes do you offer?back to top
We offer Kodak Glossy Royal Professional, Professional Matte, and Professional Metallic. Our metallic paper adds extra depth and vibrancy for pictures you would like to really stand out.
Can I add borders to my pictures?back to top
YES!!! We offer more border options than any other lab, period. Our border tool allows you to combine borders together and even select their color, resulting in over 4 million possible combinations (and growing). Click here to see samples.
Can I have notes printed on the back of my pictures?back to top
Yes. If you add a comment to any of your pictures, it will be printed on the back of the picture. We also print the name of the album the picture is in and the name of the picture file. This makes it easier for you to find again if you want to order more copies.
Digital Questions:
What resolution should I take my pictures at?back to top
Resolution refers to the number of pixels in a digital image. If you are using a digital camera we recommend shooting at its highest resolution. This will give you better pictures and more flexibility in cropping you images. The minimum recommend resolution is 640x480 which will produce a good wallet sized print. Below is a table of minimum recommended resolutions for our various print sizes.

What file formats can I use?back to top
We accept any of the following formats: JPG, TIF, BMP, PNG, GIF. We recommend the JPG format with minimum compression, as this will result in the quickest uploads and will maintain the original image quality.
What color space do you use for printing?back to top
We print in the SRGB color space. Please do not embed profiles in your pictures as this will result in unpredictable color results.

Upload Questions:
How many images can I upload at a time?back to top
We do not limit the number of images, but we do limit upload size to 2 gigabytes per upload, which depending on the file format, resolution and compression you use, can be between 100 to 2500 images. Using average JPG files of 1 megabyte each, you can upload roughly 2000 images at a time.
Is the upload utility Mac compatible?back to top
Yes. We have an upload utility specifically for Mac users. If you go to the multiple file upload page, it will automatically load for you. Currently for the Mac OS we only support Firefox, Netscape, and Safari on Mac OSX. We recommend Firefox for mac users.
Why can't I see the upload utility?back to top
Our multiple file upload utility is a java based tool. Some early Windows XP and custom built computers do not have java preinstalled. If the upload utility does not load, it is most likely that java is not installed on your machine or you didn't click yes to the security warning asking permission to load our multiple file upload tool. If you didn't click yes to the security question then you will have to close down your browser and reopen it to get the security prompt again. If the security question never come up and the upload tool does not load then java is not installed or correctly configured on your computer. Java is written by Sun Microsystems and is safe and trusted industry wide. To install the java language, click here.
Cropping Questions:
How will my images be cropped?back to top
You can choose how you want your images to be cropped with our online cropping tool. In the cart you can specify the print size and the crop of each picture. Our tool allows you to see and set exactly how your pictures will be cropped. If your image does not fit the print size you selected and you have not set a crop with our crop tool, we will automatically crop your image to fit the dimensions of the print size you chose. This will remove equal amounts from both ends in whichever direction your image does not fit the selected print size.

Where is the cropping tool?back to top
The cropping tool is on the cart page. Once you have added your images to the cart, then you go to the cart page where you can select the size, cropping, and borders for each image.

Where do I choose borders?back to top
Border selection is done in the cart. After you have added images to the cart, go to the cart screen, where you can choose borders, cropping and print sizes for each image.
